Shmee shmoozing with Dragtimes without a mask is definitely not a good look. I guess while he is getting the views he doesn’t care what people say or don’t say about him. My view is that his channel is a tad stale these days - the content is the same for the most part: somebody’s car collection, or an outrageous looking super car, striped shirt and a thumbnail with him kneeling next to the car.

https://youtu.be/CRHOhhOHVO0

They could have all had rapid testing to make sure everyone is Covid free beforehand. I trust Shmee when he says he has taken all the actions necessary to travel safely, however I really don't think the folks in the US are taking it seriously at all, there are still plenty of car met up happening with group photos with your favourite tuber. You can see people on DragTimes' previous drag vids mingling quite happily.

Edited by DonBarracuda on Friday 15th January 16:01

Not surprising considering the disjointed healthcare system, and mixed messages where at times even Trump himself was telling people in certain states to ignore the Lockdown.

Birds of a feather flock together, so Shmee will feel at home with other Youtubers who also don't give sAutomotive Vloggers (Vol. 4) - Page 98 - TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio (7)t about distancing or the virus...

All travel corridors into UK to close from Monday. That’s gonna screw a few influencers up. Bet there a bit of activity on booking.com right now

It looks like this is some game that he and Rich rebuilds are playing where they have some bit of stuff distracting folk, or attracting folk to their channel.

VTuned Garage 720S build has come along very well. First startup

More my scene than working ones, VTuned is a very talented and hard working guy, like the Goonzquad chaps, they have a similar work ethic, I couldnt stand them at first being like some kind of US car YouTuber Jedward but for amateurs they do some very impressive work.

Harry Metcalfe is, for me, the best of the lot, so self effacing and knowledgeable, Ian Tyrell is very much in the same vein, leave the endless supercars to the Forza kids, love the variety, vintage Lambo to Citroen DS, marvelous.

Snap. The VTuned lad is my kind of guy. He starts a project and progresses it with each upload. He is also very switched on - that car was in bits yet he got it started without any drama.

Meanwhile Tavarish hasn’t uploaded any follow ups to his 675LT rebuild, and Alex is still struggling with his 720S build.

To be honest, apart from Miss Shmee going off on one a couple pf pages back, I've not seen any criticism anywhere other than on here. Unless he's just deleting negative comments on Youtube/Insta, but I think the commenters are all young kids who probably don't give a damn about the pandemic.

He's deleting comments. Couple of facebook posts had been trimmed.

All this seems to mean is that you will have to have a negative test before flying to the UK, and will have to quarantine for 5 days until a further negative test. Many would think those measures are very long overdue! And not that big a deal for the vloggers, though if they have the option of remaining somewhere overseas where they have more freedom to make their content they will probably do so.

When it's safe to do so Google 'Cory Chase' (add stepmom if you are really brave) isn't it just a massive P*** take that it's his 'Step Mom'

Last upload on the LT was a near 40 minute video ending with a start up shortly before Christmas. I'm guessing he's doing lots of work on it and then uploading longer videos once he's made some decent progress, otherwise he'd be uploading a load of shorter videos where nothing really seems to happen.

I also rate VTuned and watch a lot of his stuff, he is a pro though so makes stuff look easy as he has been doing it a long time.
His shop is very close to the Goonzquad boys too, but they have not done a proper car vid in months.

Sort of thread diversion but relevant to so many of the rebuild channels

Perhaps someone in the US could comment on how the Vtuned car goes back on the road over there , if the vin is related to the tub of the car what have they actually rebuilt ?, the car that had the tub they have used (bought from eBay) was clearly scrapped (probably due to an accident) in the UK you would need the registration documents for that car as the registration number would be associated with the vin and you can't legally move vins to previously used chassis or monocouques, (even though it does happen) even being able to use the second hand tub and retaining its identity would depend on the catogory the car was written off in, will they simply swap the vin of thier car over to the new (old) tub and have it assume the identity of that (also crashed) car (is that legal in the US?)

Just interested to know as in so many of the US shows / channels the first thing that happens is the body comes off, the original chassis gets rolled out of the door and a new high tech one with an LS gets rolled in for the old body to sit on, or they start chopping up the monocouque, something that you can't legally do and retain the vehicles identity over here

It would vary state to state - with some being quite strict, others being extremely lax.

Look at some of the monstrosities Roadkill used to drive!

Roadkill seem to give the impression that their cars are highly illegal but it isn't that well enforced and any punishment is limited (similar to how Americans seem to just see speeding tickets as just another cost of motoring rather than any impediment to their holding a licence)

Yeah, they were alluding to doing more car content as think the viewers are suffering dry wall overload.

They come across as happy daft but I bet they are properly smart cookies, cant knock that enthusiasm, I expect them to say "Int Milk Brilliant !"

Not sure why Samcrac has the "Stepmon" thing but not complaining, the whole Stepmom things seems to be a theme elsewhere as well...Wonder how long it will be until he is rattling her over a knackered BMW Automotive Vloggers (Vol. 4) - Page 98 - TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio (40)

Isn't the 720s one of the worst supercars of all time though with all the problems people have had with them.
