Campaign website
Morgan's campaign website stated the following:
“ | End Corruption Ending corruption begins with me. I have no familial, political or financial ties to anyone currently in Government or big business. I do not owe anyone, anything. I will make decisions based on the best interests of Hawai'i. With my degree in Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University, I can improve the function of the current system. Part I.
We will solve the issues of Hawai'i by creating sustainable industries around them. We will support the success of public-private relationships and use small business, non-profits and other community organizations to aide in the sustainability of our community. There are so many organizations in Hawai'i already doing to the good works needed. Their best practices combined with the resources of the state government will begin the process of solving each issue Hawai'i faces.
The Hawai'i First Economic Recovery Plan is the immediate plan to get Hawai'i back on track. In the first 100 days we will: Reverse any outstanding mandates Open the State and Government Rehire employees who lost their jobs due to the mandates Open small businesses Provide technical assistance to small businesses Convert Safe Travels website to the Economic Recovery Program website and implement a visitors collection fee of $25 per person (ages 2 and up)[3] | ” |
