The 21 best salads in Kuala Lumpur (2024)

Jibby & Co is a Melbourne-inspired cafe that offers its guests delicious asian fusion food and coffee. The cafe is located in a glass house, which helps to provide pleasant light and greenery inside. The menu features breakfast staples such as eggs benedict and waffles, but also offers more unique items such as the Nutella Volcaramelo dessert. The staff are friendly and welcoming, making Jibby & Co a great place to spend an afternoon or evening.

Perhaps one of the cafes that I frequent to the most over the years, Jibby ticks off almost all the things you need for a good restaurant. Great food, good ambiance (the ample lighting in the place owing to its glass structure makes it photo-friendly too) perfect for family outings or special celebrations. I lost count the number of birthday songs I've heard while enjoying the food there. The price is pretty okay, considering the large portion and the taste & ingredients. I've tried pretty much everything on the menu and am impressed with most. The only thing I don't really recommend here are the desserts. Have tried a number of them and would suggest you skip dessert altogether.

One of the best restaurant serves good fusion food at empire mall. Good ambience and quite crowded. Service was good as the waiter and waitress are very proactive and always attend to your requests in a very polite and fast manner.

Loved the big breakfast but it’s just big breakfast, it can’t go wrong. The calamari was okay (?) but it wasn’t great. The pizza under Chum Chum’s was the best!!! I loved it so much. It’s located at a very cute place with aesthetic views. Quite a distant from KL city but overall, great food and spot. Price is a little bit on the higher side.

The food at Jibby is very good and worth the price you pay. The menu is very diverse, so there's bound to be something you like. Also, there are light and heavy food options on the menu, so whatever your lunch/dinner preference, this place will suit you quite well. I had the Shredded Duck Confit Pasta for lunch and was very impressed! The breakfast menu is a highlight here as well. The location of this branch is quite unique as well. It's located on the outside of NU Empire and is a lot like a small warehouse. It's pretty cosy and good for a nice, quiet meal. Service is also great here as the servers were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Like this place food is special and a bit high value if compare to the normal cafe, but I love the environment, almost full house in the morning. Love their service. Meet up with friends to give her birthday surprise and that also surprise us.... we ordered cake and they serve it with playing violin 🤩 that's really impressed 👍🏻 good job and thanks for your service 😊

I need to make a separate reviews about each food. So here goes:MEATBALL PASTAVery good. Meatballs are okay in portion (I think they put like 4), but the pasta itself is very plenty portion-wise. The pasta is tangy enough, and good. I like it very much so. I'll probably give it a 4/5FISH AND CHIPSQuite bad honestly. The batter are not crunchy, a bit too hard to cut, and the fish itself is soggy. Portion are plenty but honestly, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.2/5COFFEEThe lattes are good. I'm not really a coffee connoisseur so I don't really know how to explain them. But it's good for its price, and portion is standard. 4/5ATMOSPHEREAmbience is very, very good. Definitely Instagrammable 💯. Good for dates and small meeting with friends. But don't bring your family. It's not very spacious or suitable.

The food presentation looks really good, the restaurant looks fancy but you don't really come to a restaurant to feast your eyes, do you? I don't understand how such a high-end restaurant offers food below average. There were many elements in every plate we ordered but all of them were not harmonious. Each item was somehow just being put there without complimenting other item's taste. We were 5 people with 5 different orders and all of us could not finish our foods. What a shame since the price is on the upper side.

Though I came for few times for drinks but this was my first time dining with their food. I must say it was really good. Early in the morning I was expecting some sort of "microwave" for some part of the food. But surprisingly the whole plate was really fresh like out from hot pan. The service was really good with friendly and attentive staff. The crowd starts to flow in from 9 onwards so have to be early to avoid queue and be disappointed.

I have mixed feelings about this place. While the service was decent, I couldn't help but notice that the prices seem to have gone up since my last visit. The restaurant used to be affordable, but now it's getting steeper and harder to justify the cost. Moreover, the quality of the food was mediocre at best. Nothing really stood out as exceptional. While the portions were decent, the taste just wasn't quite there. An okay choice if you're looking for decent service, but don't expect to be blown away by the food. Just be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect.

Made reservation for company corporate dinner and I would recommend this place even for big group gatherings. The manager of the store was accommodative and the whole reservation process was painless. We requested slightly bigger space for better dining experience and they allocated another big table for us.Food arrangements were ok. We gave our food list a day before and requested them to be served at 6pm, and by 6pm sharp, they already served the dishes.Food wise generally ok, however, the steak being the most expensive food, wasn’t being done well probably because of large amount of order at a single time. Others food are fine. For a big group (corporate dinner) perspective, they are very accommodative and making our dining experience very enjoyable, guest and bosses are satisfied.

Quite crowded for a weekend. We got a sit upstairs and it was quite hot. A bit uncomfortable due to the hot weather. Service was good, staff was attentive. Food was not too bad. We had the chicken burger, Mr Sanders, seafood chowder, onion rings and drinks. The onions rings are recommended. The latte was also good. Hopefully we can sit downstairs the next time we go, very hot to sit upstairs and near the glass.

Food is good, creative and tasty. Fish and chips is crispy and fluffy. Onion ring is excellent, so is the salad. I was sitting under an aircond inlet, and you can visibly see a thick layer of dust, just above your head. Could use regular servicing of air conditioner.

I ate Crispy Calamari, Shredded Duck Confit Pasta and Russian Salmon. Russian Salmon and Duck Confit sedap (5 stars). Crispy Calamari to me is not that okay, quite not fresh (2 stars). Ambient is okay. If come during lunch, usually takes about 15 mins to get seat.

Ordered Baba Love and Hang Over. Baba Love was pretty good, felt a slight Indian food feel with the spices used.Hang Over was quite a joke (the pic is food already but into a few bites, so it looks a little messier than originally plated). For this price, I'd typically expect real hand fries, and at least a full sausage, but what we received felt like frozen fries and cut up sausage which I felt didn't add up to a whole sausage. There were probably 6-7 pieces of sausages? You're getting fries, sausage, beef bacon and eggs so it's sure to taste good, but for the price of RM28, it's totally not worth the money.Environment was pleasant. Got the window seat upstairs, thought didn't feel as hot as other reviews say it is. There were small fans around, depends if you sit facing it.Service was prompt and waiters were friendly and accommodating.

Update: I have been having bad stomach since eating here.Came here for lunch for the first time, and it will be my last. As I have heard good things about this place from a friend some time ago, I decided to give it a try as I'm in the area.Upon entering the premise, they were reluctant to give me a proper table even though there were plenty of empty tables around. Initially, they wanted me to sit on the high table, and then they wanted me to go upstairs. After asking them a few times regarding the empty tables, they eventually gave me one.The food was horrible. But I did finish it as I was really hungry. I ordered the madamme croissant and it was really bad. The croissant was very brown. If it is any browner, it would have been burnt. I thought it would have been very crispy. Boy, I was so wrong. The first bite of croissant was total disappointment. It was not only far from what a croissant should be. It was oozing out with grease. The other elements served along with the croissant were equally appalling. The fried oyster mushrooms were soggy. There was no balance of flavours. It was just grease and cream on top of each other.Have informed the waiter about it and saw him sharing the feedback with his team. Everyone was just ignorant.

The atmosphere, meal presentation, and service were all great but the food overall quality and taste were disappointing.I ordered Jibby Platters and don't like them. The prawns and chicken weren't fresh. I got nausea after eating it.Drinks are almost the same price as food. Perhaps the pricing can be reduced because the drinks aren't really remarkable.Overall, my experience was so-so. Don't think I'll come back.

Went there on a Monday evening. It was pretty crowded but we got a table within a few minutes. Nice space, attentive staff and overall the food was okay but it is pricey. 2 pasta dishes, a fish and chips, one coffee and 2 co*kes cost us around RM170!

Roshni Matthews — Google review

Expensive due to the atmosphere and food presentation. The salmon pizza, stuffed chicken and coconut mock tail was pretty good. However other items are not that great (friend ordered soft shell crab burger and didn't even want to finish it) , the lava cake took 2 hours to make and turn up tasting average.

Had the sweet potato fries, magaharitta pizza, ice chocolate and cappucino for lunch. They have definitely improve in terms of service and quality of food! Definitely need to make this a weekend spot again. Kudos to jibby and Co empire team! Very friendly and awesome service indeed!

Fantastic Experience for Family ReunionI visited Jibby & Co at Empire Subang for the first time during a family reunion. We ordered seafood-based dishes that exceeded our expectations in taste and flavor – absolutely delicious! The service was top-notch; we received a warm welcome, and the staff was incredibly helpful with our orders. They were attentive throughout the meal, making sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant is very child-friendly, and my son loved the carbonara pasta. It was awesome to see a place that caters well to families. We also indulged in a delightful cake that was both fresh and yummy. Despite the bustling Deepavali eve environment, the servers remained attentive, ensuring our experience was enjoyable.I highly recommend Jibby & Co at Empire Subang and look forward to returning for another fantastic dining experience!
