Bruning Banner dated 1-25-1951:
Enno Dietrich Edzards, son of John Edzards and Margaretha, nee Janssen, was born on the 6th day of May, 1889, at Bruning, Nebr. On June 30th, he was brought to the Lord in Baptism.
He was confirmed April 16, 1905.
On December 27, 1911, he was married to Tena Van Westen at Lakefield, Minn. Three children were born to this union. Two sons preceded their father in death, and Dale D., the only surviving child, resides at the home.
About a week ago, he was admitted to the hospital in Geneva, but complications set in and he passed away on Jan. 17, 1951, at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 11 days.
Surviving besides his devoted wife, are his son, Dale D.; six brothers and sisters, Mrs. Henry Knutzen of Bruning, Anton Edzards of Bruning, Reinhard Edzards of Palmyra, John Edzards of Sidney Mrs. Hanna Geiken of Bruning and Mrs. Ella Van Westen of Bruning.
The two aforementioned sons and four brothers preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery.
